Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang Player Reviews

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was born in France on August 18, 1989. He is the son of the former Gabonese footballer Pierre Aubameyang and Margarita Crespo of Spanish origin. He is considered among the fastest footballers in the world. From a very young age, he was interested in soccer. He spent part of his childhood in Milan, Italy. His father, also a footballer and one of Africa's best defenders, worked in this city. He was a scout for the AC Milan club. His father was responsible for evaluating the sporting talent of the young Aubameyang, who showed speed and good ball control. Pierre-Emerick started as a defender due to his good stature and then showed scoring ability and remained a center forward. After going through some French clubs' academies, he joined the lower divisions of AC Milan. With the Italian club, he played in the Champions Youth Cup in Malaysia in 2007, where he leads the scorers with 7 annotations in 6 games.

In 2009, Aubameyang was in the French League 2's Dijon FCO club, on loan. In the 2010-2011 season, his initial destination was AS Monaco, another French club. Then, he would be loaned to AS Saint Etienne, a club with which he signed a permanent contract in December 2011. The following year, Aubameyang became a key player for this team, being the league's top scorer with 16 goals. In April 2013, Aubameyang was part of the team that would contest the French League Cup final, winning his first title as a professional. In that season, the forward contributed 18 goals and 7 assists. This player's excellent performances caught the attention of several European clubs. The best offer came from Borussia Dortmund, a club he signed for five years in July 2013.

In 2016, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was named the best player of the season in the Bundesliga. The next season he leads the league scorers. Likewise, during his time at Dortmund, he won the German Super Cup in 2013 and 2014 and the German Cup in 2017. In December 2017, Dortmund tried to renew their contract. However, after several inconveniences in the team, the player asked to leave the club. After 4 and a half seasons, Aubameyang scored 141 goals in 213 matches for the German club. Thus, at the end of January 2018, the Gabonese striker signed a contract with the England club Arsenal for almost 64 million Euros. Although he was born in France, Aubameyang decided to defend the Gabon National Team's shirt from the lower divisions.

He has played 47 games with his selection, including friendlies, World Cup qualifiers, and African Cups, registering 19 goals and 8 assists. Weeks ago, we heard some rumors about the possible departure of Gabonese forward from Arsenal. However, the Daily Telegraph newspaper reported that the striker and the London club are close to reaching an agreement to extend their contract. So we can look forward to seeing this skilled forward's goals with the Gunners for a few more seasons.
