Soccer Players Who Can Leave For Free Next Summer Transfer Window

Here's a list of soccer players that could potentially leave for free in the next summer transfer window unless they decide to sign new or extend their contracts.

Eliquim Mangala

Manchester City’s Mangala will most likely be leaving the club for free when his contract expires next June. After having spent around £41 million on him, the defender failed to impress. His condition worsened after sustaining a knee injury this year, and it is highly unlikely that he will be resigned.

Anthony Martial

After a rocky relationship with Mourinho, the 22-year old’s future remains uncertain. He dropped out of the Manchester United pre-season tour due to the birth of his son, and the forward is keen on leaving the club. His contract is expiring next June, and AC Milan reportedly has their eyes set on him.

Luke Shaw

Shaw’s future at Old Trafford remains uncertain. His pre-season game wasn’t the strongest and has reportedly allotted himself a year to save his career. He is currently in the final year in his contract with Manchester United, and will be available for transfer next window, but is determined not to sign a deal, unless he feels like he truly deserves it.

Toby Alderweireld

Tottenham’s Alderwireld missed out on the opportunity of joining Manchester United last transfer season, and with him being signed to the Spurs until June 2019, that leaves the Belgian defender up for grabs next season. Bayern Munich has shown interest in him and is said to be one of the picks to replace Boateng.

Cesc Fabregas

With Sarri’s appointment as Chelsea’s head coach, Fabregas's exit from the Blues might do him some good, as his managerial style doesn’t seem to click with the midfielder’s ways. He could potentially choose to return home to Spain, and sign with one of the La Liga Clubs, as a couple showed interest last window.

Ander Herrera

Herrera signed with Manchester United 4 years ago, and his contract is set to expire in the next few months. His former club, Athletic Bilbao, has shown interest in taking him back, but there is a chance that he might stick with the Red Devils and sign a contract with them.

Oliver Giroud

Chelsea striker, Oliver Giroud's contract, will soon expire. Marseille, who lost out to the Blues in signing the former Gunner last time, may take this opportunity to draw him their way.
